Helen Phillips

About Me

Helen Phillips is pursuing a master’s degree in the International Policy (MIP) program at Stanford, with a focus on international security.  Most recently, Helen was on the investment team at Booz Allen Ventures, the $100M corporate venture capital (CVC) fund of Booz Allen. Prior to joining the CVC team, Helen led tech scouting projects for senior DoD clients and conducted extensive research on foreign investment in the U.S. startup ecosystem.

At Stanford, Helen is continuing her work and research in defense tech, policy, and venture capital as an Defense Innovation Scholar through the Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation, and as a Threshold Venture Fellow through the Stanford Technology Ventures Program. She worked at DIU during her first year of graduate school. 

Helen holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in economics.
